The Hyatt/ Pounders Case #9 #KernCountyFinancedKidnapping Bakersfield California, Kern County. I and my husband are the parents to five children who were removed by Child Protective Services. I asked my aunt/ cousin to watch one of my children for a few days because my husband, children and I were going to be staying in a Hotel. The next thing you know, I kept calling my cousin over and over, trying to reach her..... Nothing. Days pass and then I am contacted by a social worker who ends up removing all of my children minus the one that my aunt/ cousin had. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought something like this would happen. Those relatives did end up adopting that child, my child...... with the help of Child Protective Services. They asked them if she wanted to adopt the other children but she said no.... she just wanted to keep my youngest. In our dealings with CPS the accusations kept changing but we were able to prove every one of them wrong. But sometimes it's not enough, because once Child Protective Services becomes involved in your life their goal becomes to meet Federal Funding Standards. Believe it or not once they adopt out children through the system they actually make a bonus. Please understand we completed all the parenting classes. We did everything we needed to do to get our children back.
