Texas is moving on plans to privatize case management of CPS cases.

This move has both positive and negative implications.

On the positive side, the theory is to concentrate on familial reunification above all else. The reality is, this is already a federal mandate and largely been ignored by child protection agencies.

Anytime privatization occurs.....accountability goes right out the window in the quest for profit. Should our #TAKEN children be further exploited for federal dollars? This is no different than the status quo of child protection agencies for the last 40+years.

While the intention is good....the implementation of privatized handling of CPS cases could and probably will turn into an even bigger free for all in federal funding.
