Tammi Stefano interviews Joe Churchwell, an attorney in Arkansas who saw the light as to the egregious abuse of power in the family court system and is now an attorney who represents families who've had CPS enter their lives. He not only discusses some of the cases he's worked on but has also brought it to the attention of legislators in his state. There are some bright spots in this piece one is that Jessica Hill, a mother he represented for shaken baby syndrome, now has her children out of foster care and placed with her mother. However, on the darker side Jessica is scheduled for a criminal trial this Fall and faces 10-40 years in jail. Another bright spot is this attorney has managed to get the attention of some legislators in his state who actually attended some of these hearings and from the sounds of it their presence actually made a difference in the rulings to benefit the family.
