Photo - My grandson was not taken from his family 10 times. He was #TAKEN once. He had a total of 11 placements in foster care AFTER he was #TAKEN. I went to the group I AM ADOPTED searching for adopted children that were adopted after 1997. I was attacked repeatedly by several members of the group, who basically told me CPS wouldn't take a child from a parent unless a parent was guilty of abuse. THESE ARE STATEMENTS FROM ADOPTED PEOPLE! The judgement, holier than thou attitude, and general ignorance of the people that attacked me was amazing. I am a respected advocate, activist and lobbyist for open adoption records, author, and I also happen to be the grandmother of a #TAKEN child. I was revictimized in the group and then booted out! I am amazed that such short sighted, ignorant, baseless judgements could come from adoptee's! I was so offended by the stupidity of these people, I was speechless. And the attacks have continued from Friday to right now!
