Written By: Meko Haze 6/24/2016 Today, at the Shelby County Courthouse, the Alabama DHR served Daily Haze, journalist “Meko Haze”, Juda Myers, the non-profit group Choices 4 Life, Health Impact News (which runs Medical Kidnap), journalist Terri LaPoint. The lawsuit is in regards to releasing public information in the case of the 14-year-old girl in Alabama who had her baby removed and placed in state custody. The young girl’s grandparents and 9 “Fictitious Defendants” were also named in the suit. When we arrived at the courthouse, the judge had ordered that no cell phones be allowed in the courthouse for today only, which set the theme for how the day would go. A camera operator for Daily Haze was told that he could not have video equipment anywhere but the sidewalk. Inside the courthouse, the judge was trying to put the 14-year-old girl’s grandparents and mother in jail for contempt of court. What was their contempt, you may wonder? They stood up against the injustices that Shelby County DHR has been doing to their family. They simply fought for their family for the first time after years of harassment from the Shelby County DHR. In the frivolous lawsuit that was passed out to everybody the Shelby County DHR could think of, the infant Braelon is named as the plaintiff. DHR is claiming that they are representing the newborn infant they wrongfully took last week and attempting to sue everyone for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Apparently, DHR believes that pictures used, with permission of the infant’s family, has caused “damages” to the child. By no means did DHR ripping the newborn child and his 14-year-old mother from their family cause any damages, it was the articles that are doing harm.
