My question regarding the Alberta child welfare panel is why Velvet Martin be part of this death panel.
Who more would be as empathetic and have incredible insight as a mother who lost her child in the child welfare system.
Velvet has been in contact with thousands of parents and children who have been oppressed by the current child welfare system.
So far the other current advocates have noticed that the current members of the child welfare Panel are concerned about stepping on each other's toes. Which creates a form of censorship.
We know that Velvet would be very candid but respectful in what just needs to be said . She would and could be the voice of thousands of those affected by the dysfunctional child protection system.
None of the panels have ever gone through what Velvet has gone through .so no one on this panel could possibly know the pain and suffering that Velvet has . No one on this panel could know how oppressive it is to see lack of due process happen , to the point that their child died .
