Photo - I met my friend Vera early in my advocacy. I was touched by her story because she too is a grandmother who deeply loved her grandchildren and is quite capable of caring for them. Her grandchildren were very attached to Vera and her husband. A well known, corrupt family court judge listened to and sided with a third party, who ended up with the children. Even in her pain....Vera has never lost faith in God and has this message for all of us on this Thanksgiving Day: Happy Thanksgiving to all family and friends. We have much to be thankful for, all our children will be here today and their children and we are so thankful for that. thobe becky will bridgett tj christian christy and jager lillyan lidiea kenny an elizabeth while brendan is not here but we are thinking of you. We are missing and loving our stolen grand babies we love you to the moon and back wish you were here where you belong with your real family. We will never forget you nakaiyah selah and Johnathan. Folks hold tight to your family love them hug them spend time with them as we dont know when they will be taken from us. The pain inflicted on families of origin in this forced adoption process has not even begun to be measured in terms of damage, grief, and suffering to both the #TAKEN child and members of their extended biological family. The Child Welfare Bureau does not recognize any need the biological family may have post-adoption. Multiple thousands of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are grieving the loss of a living child.
